Pick 2 items from the following list.  You must select 2 different topics.  The following are your choices:
1.  Find and post a video that discusses research on motivation, emotional intelligence, job satisfaction, happiness, job stress, or increasing diversity in the workplace.  Summarize the video and discuss at least 2 things you learned from the video and at least 2 questions you still have after watching the video.  Discuss 2 strengths and 2 weaknesses of the research that was discussed in the video.
2.  Discuss a peer reviewed research article on motivation, emotional intelligence, job satisfaction, happiness, job stress, or increasing diversity in the workplace.  Summarize the study including research problem, sample, method, results, and conclusion.  Discuss at least 2 things you learned from the article and at least 2 applications of the research to a workplace setting.
3.  Find information on a program that organizations can offer that help to reduce job stress.  Analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the program.
4.  Find information on 3 different ways in which organizations can help build loyalty from their employees. Discuss why these are successful.
5.  You have been tasked with developing training for managers on how to motivate their employees.  Create a Power Point, Prezi or photo essay about the different types of motivation and how they can be applied in the workplace.
6.  Employees in an organization are complaining they are stressed out about how to integrate their work and personal lives.  Create a Power Point, Prezi, Powtoon, or photo essay that discusses how to build a work-life balance.
7.  Find and post a podcast/audio file that discusses emotional intelligence.  Summarize the podcast and discuss at least 2 things you learned from the podcast/audio file and at least 2 questions you still have about emotional intelligence.
8.  Many organizations are challenged to build diversity within their organizations.  Create a Power Point, Prezi, Powtoon or photo essay that discusses the advantages of building diversity in the workplace and why diversity programs are often not successful.
9.  Interview a person who is suffering from job burn out.  Discover and share what characteristics of the job make the person feel burned out, tying them to the 3 dimensions of burn out.  Then use what you have learned from the literature and make suggestions about what the person can do to reduce the feelings.
10.  Discuss how information from Chapters 8, 9, 10, and 11 can be used to build your skills as a manager and leader.  Provide specific ways on how you plan to use this information to enhance your skills
