Specific purpose: The paper seeks to illuminate women rights that remain a mirage for women despite their (women) efforts to advocate for equal societies and enactment of laws to entrench equal rights
Central idea: Women are equal members of the society and they, therefore, deserve equal opportunities. However, they continue to face discrimination in society because of restrictive cultures that favor men. Women are also objectified, thus, leading to denial and breaking of their sexual and reproductive health rights
