The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator was created by Katharine Cook Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers. It was begun by Katharine Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs (Cherry, An overview of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, 2020). The two founders of the MBTI test contributed to research and worked as a team to design the personality test. MBTI assessment was founded in the mid-20th century. Briggs was inspired to research personality type theory when she noticed that her husband had a different way of seeing the world.
