The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator was created by Katharine Cook Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers. It was begun by Katharine Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs (Cherry, An overview of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, 2020). The two founders of the MBTI test contributed to research and worked as a team to design the personality test. MBTI assessment was founded in the mid-20th century. Briggs was inspired to research personality type theory when she noticed that her husband had a different way of seeing the world. Briggs started to do a literature review in order to understand various temperaments. The MBTI assessment was published in 1962, and the tool has been in use since then by most psychologists to understand different personality traits.
