Purpose
The purpose of this direct care project is for learners to apply the nursing process to assess if the nursing care provided by professionally certified nurses will result in improved patient outcomes. This is Part 1 of 4 in the Direct Care Project.
Course Outcomes
This direct care project enables the student to meet the following course outcomes:
- CO 1: Apply leadership concepts, skills, and decision making in the provision of quality nursing care. (PO 2)
- CO 2: Apply the nursing process to quality improvement of patient-centered care outcomes. (POs 4, 7)
Part 1 enables the student to meet the following course outcomes:
- CO 1: Apply leadership concepts, skills, and decision making in the provision of quality nursing care. (PO 2)
- CO 2: Apply the nursing process to quality improvement of patient-centered care outcomes. (POs 4, 7)
Part 1: Assessment and Diagnosis
Assess the link between quality improvement of patient outcomes, clinical nursing certification, and leadership development.
