Write a policy evaluation paper on poverty that summarizes the process you completed in your home community during this project. Assume that your policy proposal is adopted by the relevant agency (non-profit organization). Write your policy evaluation paper in no more than 2000 words, adding references, citations, and a bibliography.
Include the following:
State your policy proposal (poverty)
Explain how you identified the social change problem (poverty).
Describe how you decided on what problem(s) to be considered.
Describe the key elements of your policy proposal development process with community members and agency representatives (in this case, represented by your course peers).
Explain the key factors you took into consideration for establishing the policy with a business, non-profit, and/or government level.
Identify what organizational unit in the business, non-profit, or government level will implement your proposed policy, and whether additional funds will be needed.
Explain how you evaluate the potential effects of this policy proposal on your home community.

Policy Proposal

An estimated 10% of Americans live in poverty; they cannot afford food, shelter, and education for their children (Semega, Kollar, Creamer, & Mohanty, 2019). The vicious cycle of poverty is partly responsible for the generational problem. An individualistic society is also to blame because a majority of the community members and organizations focus on driving their agenda without considering the wellbeing of less fortunate within their localities (Erwin, 2008). A policy can help address the poverty problem by attracting relevant authorities and structuring projects to steer change. In that case, the policy proposal will focus on four areas; catering for children’s needs, strengthening housing assistance, equipping members of the community with skills and expanding work opportunities, and handling poverty emanating from the elderly populations. The four areas point to the major causes of poverty in the country (Parrott, 2008).
