ANSWER
The Cold War space race. The growing world of technology and world power race. It was initially a global conflict between two emerging world power in the mid twentieth century, The Soviet Union which was initially a communist state and The United States which operates a Capitalist system. The conflict between these two great nations quickly turned into an arm race in 1957, when the Soviet Union revealed their first intercontinental ballistic missile named Sputnik 1 which also launched fear among the Americans (USA), increasing their awareness. This was the beginning of the space race between both nations (Boyce, 2019).
