Considering the ACA Code of Ethics and the ACA Competencies for Addressing Spiritual and Religious Issues in Counseling located in the Topic 4 materials, how would you handle a client population with a religious view with which you strongly disagree? ANSWER
The ACA code of Ethics outlines the ACA competencies for addressing spiritual and religious issues in counselling. Some of the clients or population will present with religious views a health care provider may or may not agree with. In a situation where one is dealing with population I strongly disagree with their religious views, I will try and respect their views because they have a reason as to why they hold firm on these views.
