Both euthanasia and assisted suicide culminate in the termination of a life. However, patients express concerns about losing dignity if they continue living a natural life with a terminal illness and wait for natural death. To that effect, the term dying with dignity has numerous meanings to different people, but it means dying in a non-painful way. It means to have a death that is peaceful, humane and planned.
